I went to the Frome branch of Halfords to get replacement wipers: the assistant was very helpful inputting my reg no into a computor to get the correct type for my car. He then picked out what I thought was the correct wipers from the selves and I paid for them. I declined fitting as I can handle that.When I tried to fit the blades I found I could not. After extensive trawling of the internet I became convinced that I had been supplied with the wrong blades: those I hade been supplied with did not look like the ones in the instructional videos on UTube. I travelled the 10 miles back to Frome where they did confirm I had been supplied with Bosch A188S instead of the Bosch A 118S's. They fitted them on the car and charged me for the privilege.Whilst I have no complaint about the conduct of the staff, I would have thought, given I had incurred 20 additional miles (20 @ 44p/mile = £8.80) a free fitting would have been the order of the day. Poor customer service.

Always give 5 star reviews to Halford Altrincham but on this occasion the service was dire. Checked products online before visiting but on arrival in store all the car polish products had beem moved and no mention of the price reductions or 3 for 2 offer on Autoglym. I took the products I needed to checkout and asked about the 3 for 2 and was told it only applied to selected products, which I took to mean "not these". On getting home I checked online and the offer does apply to both products that I bought, so I've basically been done out of my free product. Rang to complain but only got a call centre where the lady honestly sounded like she really couldn't be bothered with me and told me to go back to store and sort it. Atrocious customer service.

Let down badly with new tyres for car

I booked my car in for 3 new tyres for Friday 28th May. Before booking I had checked with Halfords chat line that the tyres I purchased would fit my vehicle (I have a transcript of the conversation). When I arrived at the garage I was told that the tyres are commercial and would be illegal if fitted to my car. The chat line assistant had made no mention of this. The person at the garage said he would attempt to book my tyres and fitting at Croydon Halfords. I've just received a phone call from Halfords to say that they cannot fit my tyres until Tuesday at the earliest. This has really badly let me down. We were hoping to travel to visit relatives this weekend but cannot do this now. I wish I spent time making arrangements at a reliable tyres centre. Instead my time has been wasted at Halfords. I'm really appalled.

Excellent experience

Went to Farnborough, Hampshire store today for a car seat to be purchased and fitted, very COVID safe, car was hygiene cleansed before and everything explained, Jenny and Sean were so helpful and efficient the whole experience was a excellent from customer service to explaining the car seat and how in the future to return at various stages as my grandson grows, well done!!!

Staff are helpful all time and polite toto.

Staff at the Malvern retail park are very helpful all the time grate value for money on the hand tools.

I had a great experience

I had a great experience, they I got everything I needed for my new bike, they walked me through some things and I got great Information from them. I visited halfords store in limerick

Better customer service

Help and assistant regarding the oil for our new car was outstanding, then we got the cashier at the till who was more interested in other appointments they had and that they had lost the customer no customer care at all she also said do you want your £5 off sent to your e-mail along with your receipt I replied yes please and didn't receive it at all. Customer care goes a long way when you want to keep custom.

Didn’t have the parts I needed and was told I had to travel to Manchester store which is 10 miles away to get the parts which I found poor they never even asked if I wanted them ordering to collect on another day

Halfords Axle Stand quality issue

Just purchased a pair of 3 tonne axle stands (product code 657149). They are nicely finished in black however the manufacturing quality is poor, the feet on both stands are all uneven and do not sit flat approx 6mm gap on three legs when held flat they both wobble and also are not welded square with the base. Not what I would have expected from Halfords. I have returned them for a full refund and purchased elsewhere

Hannah and Sophie where vary helpful and double checked to make sure item was correct for me Saved £40 against VW price for same part (Halfords Mallory Rd)

No very happy is an understatement.

No very happy is an understatement.. I Bought a mtb from the wallasey store in September had to take it back 5 months later on the 25th Feb as the bearings went in the front wheel. I was told that a replacement would arrive on the 15th March. I rang the day after and was told it wasn't in and another one would be in on the 30th March; again it never arrived, I was then told it would be in on the 15th April, I was fobbed off yet again. Annoyed with service, I've decided to get my bike back and order a wheel myself.The service is disgraceful
